This time around, we visited a relatively new Asian cuisine restaurant located in the heart of Furumachi that is run by a Nepalese chef with over 20 years of experience in the kitchens in Nepal, India, Tokyo, and now Niigata.
Opened in December of 2017, this restaurant offers a variety of Asian dishes but the best sellers are definitely those from the chef’s home country-Nepal.
Lunch sets are offered during the day, and multi-course meals are available at dinner, both with vegetarian options. There is also a lunch buffet on the weekends where you have all-you-can-eat of all three of the most popular curries, naan, rice, salad, achato, and papado.
For lunch most of us got the curry set, each choosing the kinds of curry that we would like as well as the spiciness (the “regular/medium spicy” is “normal” by Nepalese standards). This set also comes with tandoori chicken, rice, all-you-can-eat naan, dessert, salad, and a drink.
The naan here is completely homemade, made in the traditional oven, absolutely delicious, and did I mention that you can have as many as you want?
For the rice, they actually use Niigata grown rice for serving with the curry and long grain rice for the biriyani and other fried rice dishes.
